Training Division
Times are changing and Technology is moving on at a rapid pace. A fairly obvious statement, and yet the pace of change and the range of options new technology offers is impacting on the way we provide training, and not just PC based courses.
The traditional classroom approach is starting to limit the way we present information in a skills and knowledge transfer market. It constrains not only the presentation, but possibly the way we interpret and absorb information. Perhaps the time has come to review our strategies, to throw the rule book away and to start making the transfer more relevant to the way we work. With immediate effect ComputerWorld is starting the change.
Gone are the days of the scattergun approach. We want to allocate CLCs (ComputerWorld Learning Champions) to our clients, with the role of working with Training and HR departments to develop materials and methods to suit specific requirements.
The new focus can be summarised as “knowledge, based on value”.
That’s not to say we are abandoning the old methods, rather looking to develop and enhance them, to better effect.
