Rolling out a new digital radio network, maintaining your network with new software up-dates or implementing customisations? All these are major issues for Police Forces and Emergency Services everywhere. These processes are manual, laborious, lengthy and costly. Provision of manual upgrades for all employees in a workforce which is largely based on variable shift patterns and in remote offices is practically impossible, only a fixed and centrally managed solution over a WAN will provide complete coverage of all radio terminals.
In response to a requirement by a UK Police Force, HPS Designs Limited developed the T-Dock to automate the process of radio software updates with ComputerWorld Technology providing the sales, marketing and technical support.
The cost savings offered by the T-Dock are significant; one Force estimates that its manual process takes up to 10 minutes per unit, whereas the T-Dock can handle 8 units simultaneously taking 2 – 10 minutes for the complete batch.
T-Dock features 8 docking stations designed for Sepura radio handsets together with an integrated PC. Packaged in a ruggedised portable unit the docking station is compatible with Sepura’s Radio Manager Software.
